At FIV Obradors assisted reproduction clinic, we assist couples and people who wish to have a child from a comprehensive and supportive standpoint. We provide each patient with the best treatment for their needs and their biological calendar, making use of the most avant-garde medical technology available.

Artificial insemination (IUI) with husband’s sperm
We study the best moment for insemination and prepare the patient’s ovaries to increase the chance of fertilisation from the performed treatment. At the optimal moment, we insert the spouse’s sperm once it has been washed and chosen for optimisation.

Artificial Insemination (IUI) with donor sperm
This can be used with lesbian couples, single women or heterosexual couples with a severe male infertility factor. It works in the same way as an IUI with the husband’s sperm, but using donor sperm instead, which is selected to be similar to the couple, with a compatible blood type and that has been analysed genetically.

In vitro Fertilization (IVF)
The patient’s ovaries are stimulated and the eggs produced are extracted. They are joined with the partner’s or donor’s sperm. From among the valid embryos, one is chosen to be implanted in the patient and the transfer is done in the operating room with no need for sedation.

IVF with donor eggs
This is used with women who do not have functioning ovaries for medical reasons or who are, reproductively speaking, of advanced age. It works like IVF with the difference being the eggs are extracted from a donor who hands over their biological material to the patient.

Genetic diagnosis of embryos (PGD)
We carry out an IVF cycle and embryos are studied to choose those that are free from the family alteration in healthy couples that can be carriers of a genetic disease and in couples who can not develop due to a chromosomal alteration.

Preservation of fertility
We freeze their eggs for storage in our continuously-monitored liquid nitrogen tanks. In this way, the eggs do not age and can be used in the future is the patient cannot get pregnant naturally.

Receipt of partner’s eggs (ROPA)
This is used with women who do not have functioning ovaries for medical reasons or who are, reproductively speaking,of advanced age. It works like IVF with the difference being the eggs are extracted from a donor who hands over their biological material to the patient.
View treatmentServices and techniques
At our assisted reproduction clinic, we use the necessary services and techniques to guarantee the highest quality in all processes and to increase the chances of success.
Some of the main services enabling us to provide excellence in the applied treatments are:
Embryo culture D+5 (blastocyst stage)
Whenever possible, cultivating embryos up to Day + 5 produces a better selection to increase the chances of success. There is no extra cost to the patient.
Uninterrupted embryo culture
Using state-of-the-art incubators with an integrated Time-Lapse system at no extra cost to the patient. These incubators allow the development of the embryos to be monitored without removing them from the incubator, thanks to the photographs taken by a small camera incorporated in it. This enables the development of the embryo to be maximized and, furthermore, for us to make a film of the first days of life of the embryo, which the patient will receive at no extra cost.
Automatic identification system of the biological samples (sperm, eggs and embryos)(IVFWitness)
This system uses radio frequency micro-chips that avoid samples from different patients being mixedup and, therefore, it eliminates the risk of fatal human errors. It is included in all treatments. This technology is not mandatory in Spain and can only be found in three other IVF clinics in the country.
Egg donation for one sole patient
In the case of receiving donor eggs, all the eggs obtained from your donor will be for you, they are not shared among different patients, so you have more chances of getting pregnant.
Exhaustive selection of egg donors
WE have an extremely exhaustive donor selection process that chooses healthy donors who are free of the 300 most common genetic diseases.
Similarity and blood compatibility
Your donor will be physically similar to the recipient, but will also have blood type that is compatible with the partner.
Option of testing donor-egg embryos at D+5
This enables those with no chromosome alterations to be chosen, using Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis. This will facilitate the possibility of getting pregnant.
